Terms of Service

Last updated 26 July 2026

These terms cover your use of Auto Part Pulse. The parts most likely to matter to you: prices are estimates from eBay sold listings, not appraisals; a free trial requires a card and becomes a paid subscription when it ends unless you cancel first; and you can cancel at any time from Account → Manage subscription.

1. The service

Auto Part Pulse decodes VINs, shows vehicle information from public government sources, and estimates what used parts from a vehicle have recently sold for. A free tier shows a sample; a Pulse Pro subscription unlocks full pricing, part-out exports, and synced scan history. An enterprise tier provides API access under a separate arrangement.

2. Accounts

You sign in with your email address — we send a link and a code, so there is no password. Keep access to that inbox secure; anyone who can read it can sign in as you. You must be at least 18, or old enough to enter a contract where you live, and the information you give us must be accurate. Tell us promptly if you think someone else is using your account.

3. Pricing information is an estimate

This is the important one. Our prices are averages and medians of real eBay sold listings for used parts, collected automatically and refreshed periodically. They are a research aid, not a valuation, appraisal, or offer. Condition, completeness, trim, location, timing, and demand all move real prices, and a listing that sold last month may not represent today.

Interchange information — which model years share a part — is derived from listing data and can be wrong for a specific vehicle. Verify fitment before you buy, sell, or pull a part.

You are responsible for your own commercial decisions. We do not guarantee that any part will sell, that it will sell at the price shown, or that a vehicle contains the parts listed. Vehicle specifications, recalls, and safety ratings come from NHTSA and we pass them through as-is.

4. Subscriptions, trials, and billing

5. Acceptable use

Use the service for your own business or personal purposes. Do not:

We may suspend or terminate an account that does these things.

6. Our content and yours

The app, its design, and the compiled pricing dataset belong to us. A subscription grants you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use them while it is active — it does not transfer ownership. Exports you generate (part-out PDFs and CSVs) are yours to use in your own business.

Feedback you send us is something we may use to improve the product without obligation to you.

7. Third parties

The service links to and relies on third parties — eBay, Stripe, Supabase, NHTSA, and others. We do not control them and are not responsible for their content, availability, or terms. Links to eBay searches are provided for convenience; we are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or partnered with eBay Inc.

8. Availability

We aim to keep the service running but do not promise it will be uninterrupted or error-free. We may change, suspend, or discontinue features. Data is refreshed on a schedule and coverage varies by vehicle; some vehicles have no prices at all.

9. Disclaimers and liability

The service is provided "as is" and, to the fullest extent permitted by law, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and accuracy.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost sales, or business losses, arising from your use of the service or from reliance on pricing or interchange information. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim arose.

Some jurisdictions do not allow these exclusions, in which case they apply to you only as far as the law allows, and nothing here limits liability for fraud, death, or personal injury caused by negligence.

10. Termination

You can stop using the service at any time and ask us to delete your account. We may suspend or end your access if you breach these terms. Sections that by their nature should survive — ownership, disclaimers, liability — do.

11. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. The date at the top changes when we do, and we will notify account holders by email of material changes. Continuing to use the service after a change means you accept the updated terms.

12. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the United States and of the state of Idaho, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules — except where the law of your home country gives you the right to bring proceedings locally.
